That is why the range appeals to such a wide mix of people. Some want a more premium portable with extra control. Others just want something compact, reliable, and straightforward to use. Choosing Between the Arizer Solo III, Solo II Max, ArGo, and Air SE
The main difference between these Arizer models comes down to how much control you want, how quickly you want it ready, and how portable you need it to be.
The Arizer Solo III is the most advanced option in the range. The biggest difference is how it performs in use. It heats up faster, gives you stronger output, and lets you switch between session mode (longer, slower use) and on-demand mode (quick dosing for fast-acting relief). That means you are not locked into one style of use. You can sit down for a longer session or just use it briefly without committing to a full cycle. If you want flexibility and a device that feels more responsive, this is where the extra cost goes.
The Arizer Solo II Max is still a strong performer, but it takes a simpler approach than the Solo III. It is built around a more traditional session style, where you turn it on, choose your temperature, and use it over a longer period. It is also the model that superseded the original Solo II, with Arizer adding practical upgrades like USB-C charging, improved airflow, Dark Mode, and compatibility with a 14mm water pipe adapter. Arizer also added a smart detail that inverts the screen and controls when the device is attached to a bubbler, which makes it easier to use in that setup. In real terms, that means it feels more current and a bit easier to live with than the older Solo II, without jumping all the way to the extra speed and flexibility of the Solo III. If you want something reliable, refined, and easier to justify than the top model, the Solo II Max is a very strong middle ground.
The Arizer ArGo is built around portability. It is smaller, easier to carry, and designed to be more discreet. You give up some power and battery performance compared to the Solo models, but that is the trade-off for having something that is easier to take with you. If size and convenience matter more than output and battery life, this is the one that stands out.
The Arizer Air SE is the simplest option in the range. It uses preset temperature settings instead of fine control, which makes it easier to use but less customisable. It is a good fit if you do not want to think too much about settings and just want something straightforward that works.
